After it became clear that Pauline’s presence in Togo was no longer necessary, she returned permanently to the Netherlands in 2012.

The success of GoTogo gave her the final push she needed to search for the underlying causes of the issues shaping the future of the world: wars, human rights violations, destruction, social and economic injustice, and the ongoing destruction of the living environment. There had to be a common denominator.

Our Demise

The world was simply a more complex and larger system than companies, organizations, or a region in West Africa.

Her faith contributed to the conviction that there must be a key that could give humanity the opportunity to improve the world. Since her youth, it had been clear to her: humanity continued to follow a path leading to a cliff, ignoring all the warning signs encountered along the way.

From 2013 onward, a search began that gradually attracted a small group of specialists and entrepreneurs committed to creating a different, livable, and fair world.

It became increasingly clear that it would be a difficult journey, largely carried out in silence. Funding was also required; the first contributions came from the volunteers themselves as an investment in a future-proof world. The Het Kan Wel! Foundation (HKW!) was established on April 11, 2013.

In 2015, the Tree of Life crowdfunding campaign was launched and remains active to this day. Both individuals and companies have contributed significantly.

Through this, they have enabled not only the expansion and protection of the forest and the support of young people in the Mô Plain, but also the research conducted by HKW!.

Team collaboration

Between 2016 and 2018, the team began to uncover more answers about the causes and, consequently, potential solutions. The clearest insights pointed to fragmented policy, the intentions behind policy, and a significant lack of knowledge.

Gradually, the idea emerged to develop an action plan, and by 2019, a preliminary framework was in place for initiating an integral transition. It then became necessary to establish a revenue model to make the transition feasible and lead to a fairer economy.

In 2020, the first business spin-off of HKW! was created, making it possible to continue dedicating time to the foundation’s goals. Regenesys BV also aims to research viable and economically feasible activities.

From that point on, an integrated program gradually developed that enables solutions in ecological, social, and economic domains. By mid-2024, the program was 80% complete, and the search for funding to implement it began. A year later, the program reached 90% completion and had become more cost-efficient. In December 2025, the final steps were completed on the program, offering the opportunity to make the world more beautiful, fairer, and livable again.

Nature and humanity

The completion of the program does not mean it can immediately be implemented in full. Such implementation requires thorough preparation and carefully selected and/or approved partners.

Many hands, practical effort, and—alongside our own investment—a modest financial contribution are needed to implement the program worldwide.
