Stichting Het Kan Wel! and its Integral Transition Program are based on the vision that we must and can build a society where nature and the well-being of all people come first. This contrasts with the current society, where nature has been made subordinate to human desires, and social injustice and unrest continue to grow.
The way we live today is not sustainable for our future. Nature does not discriminate. What is not sustainable will come to a violent end, with serious consequences for all of humanity—rich or poor, powerful or not.
For the natural ecosystem, we are all equal.
The economic damage caused by environmental destruction will soon exceed the value of the global economy. The president of De Nederlandsche Bank has been warning about this for some time, yet it seems that no one is listening.
This is why Stichting Het Kan Wel! is actively committed to developing the Tree of Life Economy, which will be truly future-proof—if we act in time.

The Tree of Life Economy is the ultimate goal of our Integral Transition Program for ecological, social, and economic regeneration.
The Tree of Life Economy is based on contributions to ecological, social, and economic regeneration. Simply preventing further deterioration is not enough. Restoration and renewal are urgently needed. This is not only the responsibility of politicians, leaders, or officials—it is up to all of us. The chaos in the world reminds us that we are interdependent on each other and on nature.
If we can build a society based on love and wisdom instead of satisfying the ego, we will have a future. Respect for nature and for each other will bring us happiness and put an end to chaos.
Financial Profit and Balance
In a healthy economy, financial profit should never be the most important factor. Financial gain is necessary, but so are a healthy natural environment and a socially responsible society.
Only a proper balance and harmony between the natural, social, and economic ecosystem—in other words, the Tree of Life Economy—can create a truly sustainable world.
